Possessing more than 15 years of clinical experience, Heather Raznick serves patients through her independent private practice, where she focuses on singles and couples psychotherapy and specializes in the treatment of depression, anxiety, sexual dysfunction, personality disorders, and adjustment disorders. In addition to her work as a psychotherapist, Heather Raznick serves on the faculty at St. Johns Mercy Medical Center, where she works with graduate students and trains medical residents in psychiatry, family practice, obstetrics and gynecology, and internal medicine.
To provide her clients and students with the most up-to-date information, Heather Raznick remains actively involved with the American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors, and Therapists. In addition, she belongs to The National Association of Social Workers and The International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health.
Heather Raznick earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, Child Study, and Sociology at Stephen’s College and then continued her education at Washington University, graduating with a Master of Social Work. As a graduate student, she worked with Dr. William Masters of the Masters and Johnson Institute. In addition to training as a clinical sex therapist, she co-conducted therapy sessions with Dr. Masters. She also functioned as an Intern at Parkway School District, where she worked one-on-one with students to promote academic success and facilitated four therapy groups for at-risk youth.
Before opening her own practice, Heather Raznick gained significant experience as Dual Diagnosis Director and a mental health counselor at DePaul Hospital St. Vincent and as a contract therapist at the Women’s Counseling Collective. She also worked at St. John’s Mercy Medical Center for a number of years before becoming a member of the faculty.
